Ride the waves of Worship, Music, Bible Storytelling, Crafts, Science, and Recreation to a deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ!

St. Mark’s Vacation Bible School of fun for all ages! Children Age 4 - 6th Grade and their friends are invited to participate in VBS, and youth and adults are invited to volunteer!  Together, we will discover that life with God is an adventure full of wonder and surprise! 

At St. Mark’s VBS, we offer opportunities for persons to:

•        Encounter exciting Bible stories from the life of Jesus
•        Explore God’s promises for our lives
•        Make new friends
•        Reach out in service and mission to our community
•        Worship God and celebrate life with God!



•        Children Age 4 - 6th Grade (completed by the end of the 2017-2018 school year) register as Participants

        Younger children of registered VBS Daily Volunteers also may register as Participants.   Nursery is provided for children under age 2, with classes provided children Ages 2 and 3. 

•        Tween Participants who have completed 5th and 6th Grade will participate in the RIVER GIVERS Missions, sharing in a special service and mission experiences in our church or community on and off campus.  All 5th/6th graders must complete a separate Permission Form that will be mailed to them closer to the VBS date.

Additional Volunteers Needed

A few additional persons are needed each day of VBS (June 24-28) to

  • care for young children in the nursery
  • act out stories in the Bible Storytelling center
  • help small children put crafts together
  • shepherd little ones from one place to another

No preparation is needed! If you are willing to serve one session or more, please contact Rev. Touchton at

  • Adults serving as Leaders, Shepherds and Helpers register as Volunteers. All Volunteers are required to have a background check and complete Safe Sanctuaries training prior to service.
  • Youth who have completed Grades 7-12 may serve as helpers and must register as Volunteers.Training is provided.Please let our youth coordinator know if proof of service hours is needed, or bring your school form to be signed.




“Keep Cool and Paddle On” T-shirts are available for $5 each.  A few extra t-shirts have been ordered and will be sold on a first-come/first-served basis until they are gone.  To order a t-shirt, stop by the VBS Table in the Narthex on Sunday morning, or to order online:

1) Select the t-shirt size needed as you complete online registration

2) After you have completed your online VBS Registration, return to the St. Mark’s ONLINE DONATION page (CLICK HERE) to pay for your t-shirt.

3) Pay St. Mark’s UMC $5 for each t-shirt ordered.
